1. Acceptance of these terms
By using the belki website or plugin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software or website. These terms are intended to be understandable and are not legal advice.
2. Open-source software
belki is open-source software distributed under the MIT License. Your rights to use, copy, modify, and distribute the source code are governed by that license. The source code and license are available in the belki GitHub repository.
Community contributions, issue reports, and documentation may be subject to the terms and policies of the platform where they are submitted.
3. Software provided as-is
belki is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by applicable law. There is no guarantee that belki will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every Obsidian version, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Open-source maintainers may change, pause, or discontinue features. Release notes and repository activity are the best sources for current software status.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for your use of belki and for maintaining appropriate backups of your Obsidian vault and task files. Before installing updates or changing storage settings, make sure you have a backup that you know how to restore.
You are also responsible for protecting access to your device, Obsidian vault, Google account, and any synchronization service you choose.
5. Optional third-party integrations
belki may offer optional integrations with third-party services. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms, privacy policies, availability, and technical limitations.
Google Calendar
The optional Google Calendar integration depends on Google APIs and OAuth services. Google may change its APIs, policies, quotas, verification requirements, or availability. Those changes may limit, interrupt, or require changes to the integration.
belki’s integration is intended to display selected events in read-only form. It does not provide a guarantee that event information will always be complete, current, or available.
6. No affiliation
belki is an independent open-source project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or Obsidian. References to those products describe compatibility or an optional integration only.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, belki’s contributors and maintainers are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from the use of—or inability to use—the software or website.
This includes loss or corruption of vault data, missed tasks or events, service interruptions, and problems caused by third-party services. Where the law does not allow a particular limitation, that limitation applies only to the greatest extent the law permits.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as belki changes. Material revisions will be published on this page and reflected in the “Last updated” date. Continuing to use belki after an update means you accept the revised terms.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms can be raised through belki GitHub Issues. Do not post private vault content, credentials, OAuth tokens, or other sensitive information in a public issue.
